Mon, 15 Dec 2025 21:50:23 +1300WeeblyWed, 10 May 2023 03:56:25 GMThttps://www.missionbaykohi.co.nz/seat-and-tree-project/first-seat-and-tree-proposalMBKRA presented our first seat and tree proposal to the Orakei Local Board (OLB) on 20th April.  The MBKRA wish to create a practical and sustainable use for Ronaki Reserve by installing a small grouping of trees with seating and all abilities access paving.  The OLB will discuss the potential to add this to their 2023/2024 work programme at their upcoming workshops to discuss the Local Board Annual Plan.  We are currently waiting for their decision on this initiative.  With budget constraints currently in place for Auckland Council departments, a joint funding venture of a local board grant along with seat sponsorship from local donors would possibly have to be considered if our initiative is to be accepted.  For a fuller description of this proposed initiative, please refer to the April 2023 Ronaki Reserve document posted on this page.]]>
