Can we realise the vision of the Tamaki Drive Master Plan?
The Tamaki Drive Master Plan issued by the Council and Orakei Local Board in 2013 included a vision to create a separated pedestrian promenade and cycle path the full length of Tamaki Drive. We think this is a great idea, but nothing appears to have been done since. We are therefore working to get some action, with the intent of having the entire project largely completed by 2032, the 100 year anniversary of the opening of Tamaki Drive. |
We have released a discussion document which analyses the route, and sets out the issues that need to be dealt with to make this project a reality. The document has been sent to a wide variety of organisations with an interest in Tamaki Drive, in the hope of creating some momentum through a shared approach.
