7:00 pm Tuesday 23 May
Kohimarama Presbyterian Church 34 Kohimarama Rd Mission Bay Kohimarama Residents Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on 23 May. At the meeting, we will outline our activities over the past year, and present our financial statements. Our local Councilor Desley Simpson, and the Deputy Chair of the Orakei Local Board Sarah Powrie will also speak. We have a special guest speaker, Inspector Lyle Norriss from the NZ Police. Lyle has been doing a lot of work on reducing the noise and behavioural problems on Selwyn Reserve, even making it the focus of her thesis for her master's degree, and so is well placed to inform us of what has been done and where we now stand. The AGM Agenda and all supporting information can be found below: Agenda Minutes of 2022 AGM Chair's report Financial statements We will be electing a Committee to run the Association. We are losing a number of our current committee members this year and would really welcome new people to keep us moving forward and to bring new ideas. Generally, there is not a lot of work involved, although this does depend on the nature of issues that we deal with, and who chooses to be involved in specific issues. We meet monthly for an hour or so to discuss new and ongoing issues, and various members are assigned roles with respect to some of the issues raised. These roles could be as simple as writing a letter, undertaking a mail drop, or for those interested, ongoing heavy involvement in a major issue. The degree of time you put in and the areas you want to be involved in are up to you. So if any of you would like to be involved and join the Committee, please just let us know by return email with your name, address and contact phone number. Alternatively, we accept nominations from the floor on the night.
